Job description

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to genuinely take ownership of projects, work directly with decision-makers and see developments through from concept to completion.

We are exclusively representing an established, privately owned property group with a strong development pipeline and a reputation for delivering quality projects.

This is an opportunity to join a close-knit, experienced team where you'll have genuine responsibility, autonomy and the support of senior development professionals.

With several projects progressing through different stages of development, our client is seeking a commercially minded Project Manager who enjoys being involved in the detail and taking ownership of successful project outcomes.

The Company

Our client is a privately owned property investment and development group with interests across residential and commercial property.

The business operates with a hands-on, collaborative approach, combining the resources and experience to deliver significant projects with the flexibility of a privately owned organisation.

Why this opportunity stands out:
  • Project Exposure: Work across a varied portfolio of residential and mixed-use development projects.
  • Autonomy: Take ownership of your projects without unnecessary management layers.
  • Direct Access: Work closely with experienced Directors and senior decision-makers.
  • Culture: Join a professional, down-to-earth team that values collaboration, accountability and getting things done.
  • Long-Term Opportunity: Be part of an established business with ongoing development activity and opportunities to grow.
The Role

Reporting to senior management, you will play an integral role in the coordination and delivery of property development projects, working across design, approvals, procurement, construction and completion.

This is a hands-on, client-side position requiring someone who can balance commercial objectives with the day-to-day realities of project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Project Delivery: Manage projects through planning, design, procurement, construction and practical completion.
  • Consultant Management: Coordinate architects, engineers, town planners and external consultants to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Builder & Contractor Management: Oversee external builders, monitor construction progress and ensure programme, quality and contractual obligations are met.
  • Commercial Management: Monitor project budgets, variations, forecasts and expenditure, identifying opportunities to improve project outcomes.
  • Programme Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, proactively identifying risks, delays and potential cost implications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with consultants, contractors, authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Provide clear updates to senior management on project progress, budgets, risks and key decisions.
About You

We're looking for someone who understands property development and enjoys taking ownership of projects rather than simply coordinating tasks. You may currently be working for a property developer, project management consultancy or construction business and be looking for an opportunity with greater exposure and responsibility.

Ideally, you will bring
  • Proven experience in Project Management, ideally across residential apartments, built-form or mixed-use developments.
  • Experience managing projects through design, procurement and construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodology, budgets, programmes and consultant coordination.
  • Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to manage builders and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, accountable approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or Property Development will be highly regarded.
What's in It for You?
  • Competitive salary package, negotiable depending on experience.
  • Work with an established, privately owned property development group.
  • Exposure to quality residential and mixed-use projects.
  • Genuine autonomy and responsibility for project outcomes.
  • Direct access to senior management and decision-makers.
  • Supportive, professional and collaborative working environment.
  • Long-term career development opportunities.
