A standout opportunity to join an established, privately owned Sydney property developer with an active portfolio of apartment and mixed-use projects and a strong pipeline of developments continuing to progress.

With multiple projects at different stages of the development lifecycle, this role offers the opportunity to gain exposure across the broader development process, with a strong emphasis on delivery. You'll work closely with an experienced Senior Development Manager and be part of a capable, well-supported team with an experienced leadership group and a genuinely positive culture.

This opportunity would suit a Development Manager with strong apartment delivery experience, or an experienced Project Manager looking to transition into development management. The business is open to candidates coming from a project management consultancy or construction background who bring strong residential apartment delivery experience alongside some exposure to planning, design and the earlier stages of development.

The Opportunity

Working across a portfolio of residential apartment and mixed-use developments, you will play a key role in managing projects through construction, completion and handover, while also gaining exposure to earlier development stages.

You'll work closely with a Senior Development Manager and broader internal team, coordinating consultants, builders and project stakeholders to ensure projects progress against programme, budget and quality expectations.

With an active pipeline and a number of projects progressing through different stages, the role provides an opportunity to build on your existing delivery experience while developing broader commercial and development management capability.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage key delivery workstreams across residential apartment and mixed-use developments, from design development and construction through to completion and handover
• Coordinate builders, consultants and external stakeholders to ensure projects progress against programme, budget and quality requirements
• Oversee design coordination, documentation and consultant deliverables, with a focus on buildability and practical project outcomes
• Monitor construction progress, identify project risks and work collaboratively with delivery teams to resolve issues
• Support the management of construction contracts, variations, project budgets and programme milestones
• Coordinate authority requirements, approvals and compliance matters throughout the delivery process
• Assist with project completion, practical completion, defects management, settlements and handover
• Contribute to feasibility reviews, design development and planning workstreams across other projects within the portfolio
• Prepare project reporting, programme updates and recommendations for senior management

About You

• Experience as a Development Manager, Project Manager or Senior Project Manager across residential apartment or mixed-use developments
• Strong delivery experience across Class 2 residential buildings, ideally within a developer, builder-developer, project management consultancy or head contractor
• Demonstrated experience managing projects through construction, completion and handover
• Exposure to earlier development stages, particularly design development, consultant coordination and planning, will be highly regarded
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, project programmes, budgets, contracts and delivery risks
• Confident coordinating multidisciplinary consultants, builders and project stakeholders
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of project workstreams
• Strong communication and relationship management skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach
