Job summary

The Living Company in Sydney CBD is seeking a Development Manager to oversee front-end delivery of mixed-use projects, including Retirement Living (RL) and PBSA, and Build-to-Rent initiatives. You will coordinate across development, design, construction and ESG, ensuring planning and acquisition outcomes align with strategic targets.

You will manage feasibility studies, budgeting, reporting, and collaborate with authorities and partners to deliver best-in-class living environments.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years' experience in Property, Architecture, Construction or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to and managing large-scale residential development projects in NSW.
• Significant experience in property development or construction in Australia.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Deep understanding of the property development lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and operations.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.

• Preparing project reports, tracking budgets and costs, and keeping stakeholders and the management board informed

THE ROLE

As Development Manager, you'll be a key player in overseeing the delivery of our mixed-use projects, including Retirement Living (RL), Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and Build-to-Rent (BTR) - helping ensure our planning and acquisition outcomes align with our strategic and sustainability targets, and that every project we deliver is a best-in-class living environment.

You'll manage the front-end delivery of complex, large-scale projects, working across development, design, construction and ESG, while representing TLC with authorities, joint venture partners and external consultants.

Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):
