Job summary

The Living Company in Sydney is seeking an Investment Analyst to support the full investment lifecycle, from acquisitions to asset management and investor relations.

You will work closely with development, sales/marketing and operations teams to analyse opportunities, model cash flows and contribute to fund strategy across Australia’s fast-growing living platform.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Law, Commerce, Property or Economics is desirable.
• 2-4 years' experience in real estate, corporate finance, investment banking or management consulting.
• Strong numerical and financial modelling skills with cash flow and valuation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to identification and analysis of real estate investment opportunities including acquisitions and strategic transactions.
• Prepare development feasibilities and financial modelling to support underwriting for projects.
• Assist with execution of real estate transactions including due diligence and structuring.
• Support equity raising and debt financing for existing and new assets.
• Prepare fund and strategy papers with financial underwriting and market research.
• Produce regular reporting for Investment Committee memos and board meetings.

THE ROLE

As Investment Analyst, you'll contribute to the full lifecycle of investment management - from transactions and fund management through to asset management and investor relations.

You'll get exposure to real estate acquisitions, strategic M&A and corporate transactions, development feasibilities, capital raising and fund strategy, working closely with our development, sales/marketing and operations teams in Australia's fastest-growing real estate platform.

Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):

• Contributing to the identification and analysis of real estate investment opportunities, including development projects, acquisitions and strategic transactions
• Preparing project development feasibilities and financial modelling to support underwriting for projects and strategic/growth opportunities
• Assisting with execution of real estate transactions, including due diligence, financial modelling and legal/tax structuring
• Supporting equity raising and debt financing processes for existing and new assets
• Preparing fund and strategy development papers, including financial underwriting, valuation and market research
• Producing regular and ad hoc reporting, including Investment Committee memos and board reporting

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• University degree with a major in Finance, Law, Commerce, Property or Economics desirable
• 2-4 years' experience in real estate, corporate finance, investment banking or management consulting
• Strong numerical and financial modelling skills, with experience in cash flow modelling and investment valuation techniques
• Experience with feasibility analysis and reporting for new development projects
• An understanding of the Australian real estate investment market and a keen interest in real estate transactions and development
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with the drive to grow and learn within a fast-scaling platform
