Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a Development Compliance Officer to monitor development consent compliance and investigate breaches under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act. You will manage customer inquiries, provide advice, and address urgent compliance matters to uphold development and environmental standards across the Sutherland Shire.

You will receive and investigate complaints, monitor development activities, issue notices, conduct inspections, and support legal actions.

Qualifications

• Experience in development control and regulatory functions.
• Knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with legal processes related to compliance functions.
