Job summary

The City of Canterbury Bankstown Council is seeking a Coordinator Development Engineering Services to lead the Development Engineering Services team, overseeing complex assessments across development applications, work permits and major projects.

In this role you will provide expert engineering advice, ensure compliance with legislation, and manage stakeholder relations to protect public infrastructure and community amenity.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering recognised in Australia.
• Current Class C driver's licence and White Card.
• Extensive development engineering assessment and urban civil design experience.
• Experience with complex development referrals and work permits.
• Strong knowledge of relevant NSW acts and regulations.
• Experience leading technical staff and managing workloads.
• Experience reviewing road, drainage, public domain works.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Development Engineering Services team.
• Assess complex development applications and major projects.
• Review designs for roads, drainage, and public domain assets.
• Provide expert advice and prepare assessment reports.
• Manage workflows, timeframes and records.
• Build relationships with developers, agencies and stakeholders.
• Oversee infrastructure works and asset handover processes.
• Drive governance, compliance and service performance.
