City of Geelong is seeking a Civil Engineer to facilitate delivery of road, drainage and ancillary works for subdivision developments, ensuring compliance with Council standards and supporting policy development.
You will assess engineering docs, oversee construction, liaise with developers and authorities, and provide technical advice on traffic, drainage and planning permits. A tertiary Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience is required; police check may be required.

You will also contribute to the development of innovative policies, plans and practices that support the ongoing improvement of the City’s road and drainage infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:
To be successful in this role, you will have a have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or several years of relevant experience, along with experience working with processes, regulations and governance requirements. You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret and apply policies, standards and procedures.
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
