Job summary
Livingstone Shire Council is seeking a Coordinator Development Assessment to lead the Development Assessment Team and deliver fast, legally compliant statutory planning services on the Capricorn Coast. You will guide complex planning assessments, align operations with Council goals, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent.
- Experience in local government or statutory planning; leadership of a team.
- Experience in planning enforcement and legal proceedings.
- Strong understanding of planning legislation and political contexts.
- Proficiency with council systems and planning software.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex planning assessments and ensure high-quality decisions.
- Champion process improvements to enhance service delivery.
- Develop talent and coach the Development Assessment team.
- Navigate regulatory frameworks with professionalism.
- Collaborate across the organisation for policy alignment.
