Job summary

State Government of Victoria in Melbourne is seeking a Developer & Tester to support the delivery of digital solutions across ITS. You will help develop, test, integrate and support applications and platform components that are reliable and fit for purpose.

The role focuses on implementing solutions, boosting system interfaces, and working in agile delivery with stakeholders. A collaborative, problem‑solving mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline desirable.
Relevant vocational qualifications and certifications in software development, integration, cloud, platforms or agile delivery desirable.
Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Developing, configuring and maintaining applications, integrations and platform components.
Supporting system interfaces and integrations, including links with legacy systems.
Translating business and technical requirements into practical solutions
Undertaking testing, debugging, defect resolution and deployment support
Preparing technical documentation and support materials
Identifying technical risks, issues and dependencies, and escalating where needed
Contributing to continuous improvement and agile delivery practices
Working collaboratively across project and operational teams
