Job summary

UBank in Sydney is seeking a Platform Engineer - Developer Experience to design, build and evolve internal developer platform capabilities that boost productivity across engineering teams.

You will partner with feature squads, security and architecture, delivering self-service tooling, golden paths, and reliable CI/CD pipelines while ensuring compliance in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Software Engineering, Backend Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Developer Experience Engineering.
• Experience building shared capabilities, frameworks, products, or platforms consumed by multiple teams.
• Strong fundamentals with production apps using TypeScript, Node.js and frontend frameworks like React.

Responsibilities

• Build internal developer products to improve productivity and experience across engineering teams.
• Improve software delivery with platform services, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.
• Enable observability and reliability with dashboards, tooling, and runbooks; participate in on-call rotations.
