Job summary

McKern & Associates on the Gold Coast invites a capable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across varied industries. Open to all experience levels, the role focuses on accuracy, reliability, and timely BAS lodgements using Xero.

You'll join a friendly, client-focused practice in Burleigh Waters with on-site parking, ongoing training, and supportive pathways for BAS agent registration or further study as you grow your skills.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Bookkeeping (or working towards one) ideal.
• Experience with Xero and MYOB is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and bank reconciliations for a portfolio of clients.
• Processing payroll, including STP, super, and PAYG obligations.
• Preparing and lodging BAS.
• Setting up new client files in Xero.
• Liaising directly with clients on day-to-day bookkeeping queries.
• General data entry and account maintenance.
