Job summary

BR Accountants, based on the Gold Coast region, seeks an experienced bookkeeper proficient in Xero to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a varied client base. The role includes payroll processing, reconciliations, and BAS/IAS lodgements with a focus on accuracy and client service.

The successful candidate will work 2-3 days per week, primarily in the office with potential remote days, in a casual contract with guaranteed hours. A collaborative, supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Significant bookkeeping experience, ideally in a public practice or client-facing role.
• Solid understanding of Xero and related add-ons; experience with other cloud-based tools is a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills - you enjoy working closely with clients and understanding their businesses.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on quality and team success.
• Previous preparation of financial statements for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts would be well regarded.

BR Accountants is looking for an experiencedBookkeeperwho is highly skilled in using Xero and bookkeeping fundamentals to perform day-to-day processing for a varied client base, and also contribute meaningfully to an already well-established public accounting practice. We are based in West Burleigh and service a range of clients across the Gold Coast, the rest of Queensland, the Northern Rivers and interstate.

What you will be doing:

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping across a client portfolio

Perform bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations

Process payroll (end-to-end)

Process Accounts Payable and Receivable

About the position?
