Job summary

HumanKapital is seeking a Draftsperson to develop residential projects from customer briefs and initial sketches through to detailed working drawings. You will work within a small team, producing drawings in ArchiCAD and ensuring compliance with DCPs and the NSW Complying Development Code.

The role requires a architecture-related degree and 3-5 years of drafting experience, with strong attention to detail and ability to translate briefs into practical designs while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

About the Role

Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for developing residential projects from customer briefs and initial sales sketches through to detailed working drawings.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Interpreting customer briefs and sales sketches accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
• Producing full sets of working drawings at various stages of the process using ArchiCAD
• Ensuring drawings comply with relevant Council Development Control Plans (DCPs) and the NSW Complying Development Code (CDC)
• Following established company processes and systems
• Working efficiently within a small team to maintain quality standards, achieve targets, and meet project timelines

About You

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD is essential
• Relevant degree in Architecture, Building Design, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years' experience working as a Draftsperson, or reasonable experience in a Design role
• The ability to interpret and apply Development Control Plans and the NSW Complying Development Code
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• The ability to interpret drawings conceptually and translate briefs into practical designs
• Strong problem-solving skills
• A willingness to contribute to a small team and support others
• The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work
