Job summary

Ngayuk College, a new co-educational government secondary college located in Kalkallo, Victoria, seeks a Design Technology Assistant. The role supports teachers and students in practical sessions, prepares materials, maintains a safe workshop, and helps with displays and exhibitions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, tools and equipment for Design and Technology classes and practical activities.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop and storage areas.
• Conduct routine safety checks and report damaged or unsafe equipment.
• Support teachers and students during practical lessons, demonstrations and projects.
• Maintain stock levels, order supplies and keep accurate inventory records.
• Assist with maintenance, servicing and safe storage of tools, machinery and equipment.
• Ensure safety procedures and risk assessments are followed.
• Assist with setup and pack-up of displays, exhibitions and special projects.
