Medibank is seeking a Design Research Lead on a 10-month fixed-term contract to strengthen how customer evidence and insights influence product and service decisions. You will balance strategic thinking with practical delivery and coach multidisciplinary teams to embed discovery and experimentation into development.

You’ll lead and evolve design research practice, shape frameworks, and partner with Product, Design, Engineering and Insights to connect customer insights with strategy and roadmaps.

What You’ll Be Doing

About You

You’re an experienced design research professional who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery. You’re confident coaching others, influencing stakeholders and helping teams use research to make better, evidence-based decisions.

You’ll bring strong experience in:

• Design research within CX, UX, product or service design environments.
• Customer research, discovery and experimentation.
• Coaching and building research capability across multidisciplinary teams.
• Translating complex research and customer insights into clear, actionable opportunities.
• Partnering across Design, Product, Engineering and Insights teams.
• Communicating and influencing across different levels of an organisation.
