Versatile Group in Sydney is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design delivery for a landmark $200M mixed-use development on the city fringe. You will own the design process from development through to construction and completion, coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, project managers, and senior leadership to ensure design excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of design coordination, construction methodology, and consultant management.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence project outcomes.
• Solid knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Procore, Aconex, Bluebeam, AutoCAD (or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design management process from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, authorities, and consultants.
• Chair design coordination meetings and drive timely decisions.
• Review design documentation for constructability, compliance, quality, and commercial outcomes.
• Identify design risks and drive value engineering while maintaining intent.
