We seek an experienced Workforce Capability Lead to translate strategy into workforce planning, role architecture, career pathways and capability frameworks within the People and Culture team.
Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth's Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
ANI plays a pivotal role in delivering Australia's naval shipbuilding capability, contributing to one of the nation's most significant and complex infrastructure programs. Based in Adelaide, our work underpins the future of naval shipbuilding through world-class infrastructure at Osborne.
ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Workforce Capability Lead to join its People and Culture team in Adelaide. In this role, you will translate organisational strategy into practical workforce planning, role architecture, career pathway and capability frameworks. You will help strengthen workforce capability, succession readiness and long-term sustainability.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the development and implementation of workforce planning frameworks that support the capability and capacity requirements of the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) program.
Partner with the Head of Strategy, Planning and Change and business leaders to develop fit-for-purpose workforce plans that support current and future program delivery.
Act as the subject matter expert for organisational design, role architecture, workforce capability and career pathway development.
Provide expert advice on workforce planning and organisational design to improve capability, accountability and organisational effectiveness.
Maintain and enhance capability and competency frameworks that support ANI's current and future workforce needs.
Establish and govern career pathways, job families and progression frameworks that support capability development and employee growth.
Configure and optimise HRIS solutions to support workforce planning, capability frameworks and career pathway initiatives.
About You:
You will have sound judgement, strong influencing skills and the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be proactive, solutions-focused and highly detail-oriented, with a collaborative approach to achieving outcomes.
You will also have:
Australian citizenship and otherwise eligible to obtain and maintain any required security clearances required for a Defence related facility.
Proven experience in developing workforce frameworks, capability frameworks or organisation design solutions.
Significant experience in workforce planning and/or organisation design.
Understands how workforce planning, capability frameworks, career pathways and organisational structures interact as an integrated system.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
