Job summary

Laing O’Rourke in Australia seeks a Design Manager to join our AUKUS team supporting the ANI/NPSCY program in Osborne, SA. You’ll lead design coordination, drive constructible solutions, and apply Digital Engineering to planning and delivery.

You will bring a civil/mechanical/electrical/geotechnical background, Chartered Professional Engineer status, at least five years in design/engineering/construction, and eligibility for NV1 clearance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Geotechnical with Chartered Professional Engineer status.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in the Design/Engineering/Construction field.
• Australian citizens with the ability to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
• Experience in high-risk construction industry.

• Plan and execute works to achieve project outcomes.
• Provide timely and reliable technical support to delivery teams.
• Challenge designs and drive practical, constructable solutions.
• Utilise Digital Engineering to improve planning and coordination.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

About You

• Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical/Geotechnical) with Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in the Design/Engineering/ Construction field.
• Previous experience working in high-risk construction industry
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
