Job summary

Stantec in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary design teams across a portfolio of buildings, guiding design delivery from concept through construction. You will develop delivery strategies, coordinate internal and external disciplines, manage budgets and schedules, and work closely with clients to achieve high-quality outcomes.

This leadership role requires excellent communication, BIM/digital delivery knowledge, and the ability to mentor emerging leaders

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex building projects.
• Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from concept to construction.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Chartered status or equivalent industry recognition (highly regarded).
• Working knowledge of BIM and digital delivery platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams across a range of building projects.
• Develop and implement design delivery strategies, programs and methodologies.
• Coordinate internal disciplines and external consultants to achieve project outcomes.
• Monitor project progress, budgets and schedules.
• Work directly with clients to understand project requirements and develop design solutions.
• Facilitate design reviews, coordination and quality assurance.
• Mentor and develop emerging project and technical leaders.
• Support business development activities and proposals.
