Job summary

Mono Constructions Pty is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design process from concept through construction and handover at our Rydalmere office. You will coordinate clients, consultants, architects and internal teams to achieve compliant, buildable design outcomes.

You will manage development applications, construction certificates and design approvals, ensuring adherence to NCC and project requirements while mentoring the design team and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experienced in design management across full project lifecycle.
• Proven track record delivering large Class 2 residential projects valued at $30M+.
• Strong experience managing consultants, design coordination, approvals and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the performance of architects, consultants and key design stakeholders.
• Oversee Development Applications, Construction Certificates and design approvals.
• Ensure design documentation complies with the NCC, relevant standards and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve design, coordination and buildability issues early.
• Lead and support design team members in line with Mono's FRANK values.
• Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned across projects.
• Support project teams through Occupation Certificate and final handover.

As a specialist builder of social and affordable Class 2 housing, we partner with community organisations and government bodies to deliver meaningful residential projects across Sydney.

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team at our Rydalmere Support Office.

Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, you will lead the design process from early concept through construction and handover, coordinating clients, consultants, architects and internal project teams to achieve compliant, buildable and well-resolved design outcomes.

Your Role

Manage the design process from concept through to construction and handover.

Translate client objectives into clear design briefs, programmes and deliverables.

Coordinate and manage the performance of architects, consultants and key design stakeholders.

Oversee Development Applications, Construction Certificates and design approvals.

Ensure design documentation complies with the NCC, relevant standards and project requirements.

Identify and resolve design, coordination and buildability issues early.

Lead and support design team members in line with Mono's FRANK values.

Drive continuous improvement and capture lessons learned across projects.

Support project teams through Occupation Certificate and final handover.

Who You Are

Experienced in design management across the full project development and construction lifecycle.

Proven experience delivering large Class 2 residential projects valued at $30M+.

Strong experience managing consultants, design coordination, approvals and compliance.

Qualifications in Design Management, Project Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
