Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services (MCS) is seeking a Design Engineer to join a Kemps Creek team delivering roads, structures and utilities infrastructure in NSW. You will coordinate civil design packages, manage interfaces between consultants, field teams and clients, and track milestones to keep the design program on schedule.

You have a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and at least four years as a design or site engineer in civil projects, with experience on major roads or earthworks and

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum four years as design or site engineer in civil infrastructure.
• Experience on major roads/highways, earthworks, or heavy civil projects.
• Familiar with Australian Standards, TfNSW specs, and Safety in Design.
• Experience coordinating consultants and resolving site challenges.
• Exposure to temporary works, utility coordination, CAD/BIM tools such as AutoCAD, 12D or Navisworks.

The Opportunity

Coordinate civil design packages and technical interfaces for New South Wales infrastructure delivery. Reporting to design leadership, you will link external consultants, field engineering teams and client representatives to resolve technical issues and maintain design programme milestones.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil roadwork, structure, drainage and utility drawings and specifications.
• Manage consultant, subcontractor, construction and client design interfaces.
• Facilitate constructability, value engineering and Safety in Design reviews.
• Resolve RFIs, variations, technical queries and field changes.
• Coordinate temporary works and utility approvals.
• Track design milestones, deliverables and comment registers.

Requirements

• A bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least four years as a design or site engineer in civil infrastructure.
• Experience on major roads, highways, earthworks or heavy civil projects; TfNSW experience is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of civil design, Australian Standards, TfNSW specifications and Safety in Design.
• Experience coordinating consultants and resolving site technical challenges.
• Exposure to temporary works, utility coordination and CAD/BIM review tools such as AutoCAD, 12D or Navisworks.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills.
