Job summary

The Constructive Collective is seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer in Sydney to deliver building and precinct projects, including stormwater and external works. You will prepare drawings, specs and reports for approvals and collaborate with architects, councils and contractors.

With 4–8 years in consultancy and strong Civil 3D skills, you will mentor junior engineers, support fee proposals and help advance chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 4–8 years civil design experience in a consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Experience with DRAINS and MUSIC for stormwater/water quality design.
• Understand Australian Standards, ARR and NSW council requirements.
• Clear technical writing and confident communication with clients and authorities.
• Chartered (CPEng) or working towards it is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil design for building and precinct projects including stormwater, siteworks, earthworks, pavements and external works.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and reports for development and construction approvals.
• Design stormwater drainage, on-site detention and WSUD solutions.
• Liaise with architects, councils, authorities and contractors throughout design and delivery.
• Coordinate with structural, hydraulic and flood engineers on integrated project teams.
• Review drawings and mentor junior engineers and drafters (Senior level).
• Support fee proposals, programmes and client relationships as your role grows.
