Job summary

TEFOL is seeking a Design Draftsperson / Engineer based in Rutherford NSW to support heavy industry, mining and civil projects. You will produce detailed drawings using SolidWorks or Inventor and contribute to bespoke product development.

The role offers hands-on engineering experience, mentoring from senior engineers, and a supportive team environment with an attractive pay rate. Monday–Friday, flexible hours, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Cert IV Engineering to Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical (highly regarded).
• Proficient with drafting machined components using sheet metal.
• Strong interpersonal skills and multitasking ability.
• Positive, outcome-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering design activities and prepare/update drawings using SolidWorks and Inventor.
• Develop bespoke products for clients and create detailed fabrication drawings for internal/external use.
• Support documentation, testing, and certification activities.
• Contribute to digital system improvements and engineering change processes.
• Assist with creating technical documents and manuals related to products.
• Assist with material and component selection during product design.
