Job summary

Fyfe is seeking a Design Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of major water and transport infrastructure projects in Sydney. You will oversee design and delivery teams, strengthen client partnerships and drive sustainable growth within Fyfe's Power Infrastructure business.

In this role you will mentor leaders, govern project performance, manage risk and finance, and build capability across delivery teams while working with senior clients and stakeholders to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, PM or related discipline.
• 10+ years' experience in electrical design and delivery within relevant sectors.
• Proven track record managing large-scale, complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing project management capability.
• Strong commercial acumen across contract administration, risk, forecasting and margin.

• Lead Design Managers, Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams and ensure design and delivery accountability.
• Guide major water and transport infrastructure projects from scope to delivery with technical assurance.
• Identify design constraints and risks early to improve portfolio performance.

The Opportunity

As our next Design Delivery Manager, you'll lead talented teams, strengthen project delivery and play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure projects safely and successfully.

This is more than oversight of individual projects. You'll help build the people, standards and capability behind Fyfe's Power Infrastructure business, while strengthening relationships with key clients and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth.

The Impact You'll Have

• Lead Design Managers, Project Managers and multidisciplinary technical teams, creating clear accountability for design and delivery outcomes.
• Guide major water and transport infrastructure projects from scope definition and design planning through coordination, technical assurance and issue resolution.
• Strengthen portfolio performance by identifying design constraints, delivery risks, resourcing pressures and commercial issues early.
• Build trusted relationships with key clients, acting as a senior point of contact and supporting new opportunities, tenders and growth strategies.
• Protect project performance through disciplined forecasting, invoicing, margin management, scope control and commercial governance.
• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing talent while mentoring emerging leaders and building capability across delivery teams.

What You'll Bring

You'll bring the leadership experience, technical background and commercial understanding needed to manage complex infrastructure projects and teams.

• A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years' experience in electrical design and delivery within the water, transport or industrial infrastructure sectors.
• A proven track record managing large-scale, complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing project management capability.
• Strong commercial acumen across contract administration, risk management, financial forecasting, project economics and margin performance.
• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, systems and tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external clients.
