Job summary

Supagas is seeking a capable Depot Operator at the Kambalda West depot in Western Australia. You will operate as a lone worker, filling LPG cylinders for delivery drivers and maintaining stock levels of full, empty, and out-of-test cylinders, as well as bulk LPG.

You will support the Depot Operations Manager with forecasting, and handle occasional LPG deliveries. Strong planning, safety awareness, and autonomous working are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold HR Truck Licence and current Forklift licence.
• Experience in a similar role with a strong focus on planning.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Experience in LPG preferred but not essential.
• Strong commitment to safety including identifying risks, hazards and reporting incidents.

Responsibilities

• Operate the depot as a lone worker to fill LPG cylinders (15kg, 18kg, 45kg) for delivery drivers.
• Manage stock of full, empty, and out-of-test cylinders and bulk LPG.
• Forecast and provide information to allow adequate deliveries and scheduled maintenance.
• Record filling data daily in manufacturing spreadsheet and complete monthly plant check sheets.
• Occasionally deliver using Supagas HR vehicle to cover absences or urgent orders.
• Assist training of drivers in safe operation of tank installation and lifting of bulk LPG.

About The Role

Operating the Supagas Kambalda depot as a lone worker, ensuring that LPG cylinders are filled and available for delivery drivers loading ex. Kalgoorlie. Ensuring stock management of full, empty and OOT cylinders as well as bulk LPG stock to ensure continuous, safe operation of the depot.

Supporting the Depot Operations Manager, Logistics, and maintenance teams with forecasting and information to allow for adequate deliveries and scheduled maintenance with the occasional LPG delivery work.

Key Information

The commencement of this role will ASAP which will allow the successful candidate to be trained by the current Depot Team Leader with a thorough handover. The current Team Leader will be departing at the end of November.

Responsibilities

• Reporting of all equipment faults and production issues for rectification by Maintenance/Support from the Depot Operations Manager
• Filling of 15kg,18kg and 45kg LPG cylinders to be delivered by the drivers from the Kalgoorlie branch
• Separation of out of test (OOT) and faulty LPG cylinders for transport to Perth
• Monitoring, and projecting consumption of bulk LPG and cylinders and communication with the Perth logistics team and Kalgoorlie Branch team to ensure adequate stock for deliveries.
• Monitoring stock levels of consumables including shrink wraps and valve caps and placing Purchase Orders within the Supagas System as required
• Occasional deliveries in Supagas HR delivery vehicle to cover absences or complete urgent orders
• Minor Maintenance work at the branch including clearing of leaves, fallen tree branches, minor work on the fenceline, oil and coolant checks on equipment etc.
• Ensure all filling data is entered into manufacturing spreadsheet daily
• Ensure operating plant check sheets are filled in monthly
• Once trained, assisting in the training of drivers in the safe operation of the tank installation for delivering and lifting bulk LPG
• Support engineering and maintenance personnel with contextual information about the site as required
• Assist quality department with internal investigations into customer feedback/non conformances (cause of fault on LPG cylinders)

Preferred Experience

• Must have HR Truck Licence and current Forklift licence
• Experience in a similar role with a strong focus on planning
• Excellent communication skills and able to work autonomously
• Experience in LPG preferred but not essential
• Strong commitment to safety including identifying risks, hazards and reporting incidents
