Job summary

Supagas is seeking a Branch Manager for Rockhampton to own branch performance, safety, compliance and profitability. You will lead the team to deliver operational excellence, sales growth and outstanding customer service in a fast-growing national gases business.

The role requires a confident leader who can balance people management, logistics oversight, safety and commercial performance, with a customer-centric approach and a commitment to Supagas’ Yes We Can culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience managing day-to-day operations in logistics, transport, industrial, manufacturing, trade or similar environments.
• Experience in the gas, transport, logistics, industrial or trade industries is highly regarded.
• Strong commercially savvy, operationally competent leadership.
• Ability to manage budgets, drive sales and maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Sound organisational and time management skills.
• Forklift and Truck Licence is advantageous.
• Customer-centric mindset aligned with Supagas’ “Yes We Can” culture.
• Pre-employment medical examination will be required.

About The Role

As the Branch Manager for Rockhampton, you will take full ownership of the branch’s performance, safety, compliance and profitability. Reporting to the State Manager, you will lead the team to deliver operational excellence, sales growth and outstanding customer service.

This role requires a confident leader who can balance people management, logistics oversight, safety compliance and commercial performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including logistics, fleet, stock control and site compliance.
• Motivate, lead and direct the branch staff, creating a positive culture and working environment.
• Recruit, select, train and manage the Branch Team.
• Ensure effective scheduling of driver runs and that all vehicles are maintained and serviced.
• Strengthen customer relationships and drive local sales growth, ensuring sales budgets are met.
• Ensure all regulatory, safety and compliance standards are met with relevant legislation.
• Ensure effective planning for growth within the business through forward planning for growth.
• Ensure operational efficiency, continuous improvement and service excellence.

Desired Skills And Experience

• Demonstrated success leading and developing teams in a supervisory or management role (minimum 2+ years).
• Experience managing day-to-day operations in logistics, transport, industrial, manufacturing, trade or similar environments.
• Experience in the gas, transport, logistics, industrial or trade industries is highly regarded
