Job summary

Indie Campers seeks a Depot Associate for our Cairns location. You will be the face of the depot, delivering top customer care while overseeing van fleet readiness and daily operations.

Reporting to the APAC Area Operations Manager, you’ll ensure smooth check-ins/outs, manage maintenance, and contribute to a high-quality guest experience. The role requires weekend/holiday availability, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to drive campervans.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused traveller with direct customer contact experience (Tourism/Hospitality/Retail or Rent-a-car desirable).
• Excellent communication skills and comfort speaking with customers.
• Eligible to work in Australia, hold a valid driver’s license, and be confident driving a campervan.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming reservations, welcome guests, and manage check-ins/check-outs.
• Maintain fleet by monitoring maintenance and repair needs to keep vans in top condition.
• Train, supervise, and coach the team on depot operations.
• Manage bookings, stock, local suppliers and cleaning services.
• Handle complaints and emergencies to ensure smooth operations at the depot.
• Prepare and clean campervans for guests.
• Assist in reselling campervans to prospective buyers.
