Busways is seeking a Depot Maintenance Assistant at the Blacktown Depot to support mechanical trades and workshop teams. You’ll help maintain a modern fleet and uphold high safety and quality standards across day-to-day depot activities.

The role offers ongoing training, opportunities to upgrade licences, and a team-focused environment. Applicants should be physically fit and able to work varied shifts in a supportive, Australian-owned operator.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate mechanical knowledge required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a team on daily maintenance schedules.
• Be physically fit with ability for heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Clean the yard and mow lawns as required.
• Empty bins in workshops and depot yard as required.
• Pick up and deliver parts and other items as directed.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs to buildings (e.g., gutters, painting).
• Maintain gardens and depot premises as required.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed.
