Job summary

Are you an experienced Deployment Manager, Senior Project Manager or Transformation professional with a strong track record delivering complex, organisation-wide programs?

TR3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced ASO8 Deployment Manager to join a major South Australian Government Finance Reform Program.

This is a full-time contract for up to 12 months, commencing ASAP and based in Adelaide CBD.

YOU | You will bring extensive experience delivering complex transformation or deployment programs within large, multi-stakeholder environments.

You’ll be a confident and influential stakeholder manager who can coordinate complex workstreams, manage competing priorities and keep critical activities progressing toward deployment and go-live.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Extensive project management, deployment or transformation experience
• Experience delivering complex programs with significant organisational impact
• Strong understanding of finance processes, organisational design and contemporary project management methodologies
• Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, resources, dependencies, risks and deliverables
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills, including working with senior and challenging stakeholders
• Experience developing project, workshop and deployment materials for diverse stakeholder groups
• Experience using Jira and ServiceNow to manage and document program activities
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management capability
• Experience managing people and resources within a complex project environment
• Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and deliver across competing and tight deadlines
• Currently based in South Australia with full Australian working rights.

Highly desirable: 5+ years' project management experience across the full project lifecycle, together with organisational change management and/or business readiness experience.

THE ROLE

As Deployment Manager, you will play a key role in transitioning multiple South Australian Government agencies onto a new Oracle-based financial management system.

Working closely with the Deployment Lead and broader Finance Reform Program team, you will coordinate deployment activities and ensure agencies are prepared for implementation and go-live readiness.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and contributing to complex deployment and transformation activities
• Coordinating resources, schedules, tasks, dependencies and deliverables
• Monitoring progress against agreed project timeframes and escalating risks or delays
• Supporting governance reporting and providing clear status updates on deployment readiness
• Identifying project and scheduling risks and supporting appropriate mitigation strategies
• Building productive relationships across agency, program and implementation partner stakeholders
• Driving accountability and ensuring stakeholders complete critical activities within agreed timeframes
• Developing deployment, workshop and stakeholder materials
• Supporting change management and business readiness activities

THE PROGRAM

The Finance Reform Program is delivering a significant whole-of-government transformation, replacing the existing financial management system with a contemporary Oracle solution.

The program encompasses standardised finance processes, technology implementation, testing, deployment, change management, stakeholder engagement and training across multiple South Australian Government agencies.
