Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager to lead daily store operations, drive service excellence, and manage a 20+ person team within a high-volume department. You will collaborate with Service, Inside the Home, Builders and Lifestyles & Garden to deliver the Widest Range and Best Prices while reporting to the Operations and Complex Managers.

You will coach and develop your team, monitor customer service levels, and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading teams in the retail industry or large high-volume organization.
• Strong leadership, influencing skills and KPI understanding.
• Focus on Safety and Wellbeing in the workplace.
• Ability to open/close store and manage weekday/weekend trade.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain an engaged and safe work environment, while also performing duty manager responsibilities, including opening and closing the store across weekdays and weekends.
• Build team capability on Best Experience and Safety Culture & Compliance. Including team engagement, performance management and recognition.
• Rostering and strategic planning for your team to deliver on our service promise. Driving department sales through strong merchandising & monitoring of key metrics.
• Action customer feedback to improve the end-to-end customer experience
• Own department stock accuracy including adjustments, replenishment discipline and loss prevention processes.
