Job summary

UC Dental is a privately owned dental practice on the Gold Coast with more than 30 staff and two experienced Principal Dentists. We are recruiting an experienced Dental Practice Manager to lead the team as we plan for the retirement of our current manager.

This dedicated, full-time role focuses on leadership, staff development and operational improvements, supported by the Operations Manager and department supervisors. Join us to shape the future of our practice.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an established team in a clinical setting.
• Strong people-management and mentoring abilities.
• Understanding of HR processes, employment legislation and modern awards.
• Ability to interpret practice financials and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop staff; set clear expectations and support performance.
• Oversee day-to-day workflow and ensure efficient operation of the practice.
• Manage rosters, leave requests and staffing adjustments for coverage.
• Oversee HR processes, performance reviews and staff meetings.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing staff development.
• Ensure systems and processes are implemented consistently across departments.
• Maintain compliance with workplace legislation, awards and infection control requirements.
• Collaborate with leadership on financial performance and KPIs.
• Provide feedback on operational performance and growth opportunities.
