About the role

We’re looking for a warm, grounded leader who brings the best out of people and isn’t afraid to hold a high standard. You'll lead our clinical team across both sites, building genuine trust (the kind where people feel safe to tell you what’s really going on), developing your people, and keeping our clinical standards sharp. This isn’t a first-time leadership role: we want someone who has genuinely led and developed a team before. Leading and growing the team is the heart of the role; the compliance and systems side supports it.

What you’ll do

Leading the clinical team (your primary focus)

• Lead, develop and inspire the clinical team across both sites, upholding a consistently high standard of care and conduct
• Apply our performance and development framework and onboarding competency tracker for all staff — reviews, goals and development plans
• Hold regular 1:1s and run clinical team meetings — on performance, development and wellbeing
• Onboard, train, coach and mentor the clinical team — building capability and identifying training needs
• Be the first point of contact for the clinical team — resolve issues, support and retain people, and keep our culture and values strong
• Help grow the team — screen, interview and shortlist dental assistants and run their onboarding (with the owners on final hiring decisions)

Standards, compliance & systems (also important)

• Lead infection prevention & control (IPC) — compliance audits, team training, and checking daily autoclave and ultrasonic test logs are completed and filed correctly
• Build and maintain clinical manuals, SOPs and records
• Oversee equipment maintenance and instrument organisation
• Check that ordering is completed on time and correctly across both sites

About you

• A track record of leading a clinical or healthcare team — the kind of leader whose people would say they trusted you and that you made them better
• You’ve held a team to a high standard and kept them with you — and you can have a hard conversation kindly without losing the room
• You’ve run the structured side for real — reviews, 1:1s, onboarding and training, and a performance or competency framework
• Calm under pressure, consistent, and genuinely invested in developing people
• Australian dental experience is essential — you understand how a practice runs day to day: clinical flow, ordering, equipment, and IPC and sterilisation. We’re open on your prior title (senior DA, dental team leader, dental practice or clinical operations) and a Cert III/IV is welcome but not essential
• Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
