Job summary

Verdant Dental in Melbourne is seeking a full-time trainee dental assistant for 2026. You will learn chairside assisting, sterilisation, and front desk tasks in a friendly, supportive team at our Keilor Rd, Niddrie clinic.

Open to all applicants with no dental experience or those already starting a Cert III in Dental Assisting; MEGT can assist. Applicants must have Australian citizenship, permanent residency or full working rights for this apprenticeship.

Qualifications

Job description

Verdant Dental is seeking a full-time trainee dental assistant to our team in 2026! We're located on Keilor Rd, Niddrie, with a small team that gets along with each other really well.

This position is open to all. If you're an exceptional candidate with no dental experience (eg school leaver or equivalent), or someone who has already commenced your Cert III in Dental Assisting, this is your dream traineeship position.

Our dental practise is the most close knit and collaborative dental clinic you could hope for. The dentists are laid back, friendly and fiercely supportive of the dental assistants. We're on a busy shopping strip with cafes, restaurants and everything you need right outside.

You're friendly, eager to learn, able to take on instruction and direction and willing to help out as a part of a hardworking team. In return, we will teach you everything from chairside assisting, sterilisation procedures, front desk/reception and everything to become a valued, important member of our team.

If you're not already enrolled in a Dental Assisting Cert III, we can organise that for you via MEGT.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an AustralianCitizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.

About the opportunity:
Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Meeting and greeting clients into the office
• Taking HICAPS and EFTPOS payments
• Maintaining stock
• Infection control
• Manage office supplies stock and place orders
