Job summary

Maven Dental Maroochydore is seeking a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to support both chairside care and front desk duties. The role involves assisting clinicians during general, restorative and cosmetic appointments while welcoming patients and managing bookings.

You will work varying shifts with flexible availability. Experience with dental software (EXACT) and a Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting are advantageous within a networked Abano Healthcare environment on the Sunshine Coast.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dental Assistant with understanding of dental procedures
• Confident on reception duties: bookings, enquiries and payment processing
• Warm, clear communication and patient-facing skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational habits
• Experience using EXACT dental software
• Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and handling general enquiries in person and over the phone
• Managing appointments, bookings and patient recalls
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records
• Providing chairside assistance across general, restorative and cosmetic procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and assisting clinicians during appointments
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
• Following infection control procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment
• Supporting stock control and other day-to-day practice tasks
