Job summary

Norlane Dental Aesthetics & Implants in Geelong is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant to join a busy, modern practice offering exposure to implant dentistry, orthodontics and advanced procedures. From general dentistry and smile makeovers to complex surgical work, you’ll learn new skills and grow your dental career within a supportive team.

About Us

Norlane Dental Aesthetics & Implants is a well-established, award-winning dental practice in Geelong providing everything from routine dental care through to advanced implant dentistry, full-arch rehabilitation, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and sleep dentistry.

You'll work alongside a large and experienced clinical team, including dentists, support staff and visiting anesthetists, in a practice equipped with modern technology including 3D imaging, OPG, CEREC, intraoral scanners and cameras, and modern Sirona dental chairs.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a positive, reliable and motivated Dental Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team and genuinely cares about creating a great experience for patients.

This isn't a role where you'll be limited to doing the same thing every day. You'll have opportunities to assist across a broad range of treatments, learn new skills and become an important part of both our clinical team and the overall patient journey.

Your role will include:

• Chairside assisting for general and advanced dental procedures
• Assisting with implant and surgical procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and clinical equipment
• Maintaining exceptional infection control and sterilization standards
• Supporting patients before, during and after treatment
• Working closely with dentists and the wider clinical team
• Helping keep the practice running efficiently
• Providing reception and front desk support when required

Previous Dental Assisting experience is preferred, particularly implant or surgical experience, but it is not essential.

A Certificate III in Dental Assisting is also preferred; however, we welcome applicants who are new to the industry and willing to complete their Certificate III. Successful applicants without the qualification will be required to commence/obtain their Certificate III within the required timeframe after joining our team.

Experience with CareStack is an advantage but not essential — we'll provide training.
