The Northside Dentist in Thornbury is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly team for a part-time role four days a week (Mon–Thu). This position blends clinical assisting with reception duties in a calm, patient-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental practice.
• Reception duties experience preferred.
• Good communication and a team-focused attitude.
• Attention to detail with a sense of urgency in a busy setting.
• Comfortable using dental software.
• A dental assisting qualification is a bonus, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments.
• Assist dentists during procedures with instruments and materials.
• Keep treatment rooms stocked and organised.
• Help manage appointment scheduling and patient flow.
• Answer patient questions and provide great service.
• Keep clear and accurate patient records.
• Pitch in with admin tasks as needed.
