Job summary

Tankard Dental in Mildura is seeking a friendly, motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity to learn practical skills, work alongside dental professionals and help patients feel comfortable and cared for.

School leavers and applicants new to dentistry are encouraged to apply, with a traineeship considered for the right person. Experienced dental assistants are also welcome, and we’d love to hear what you could bring to our team.

Qualifications

• No dental experience required; positive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine interest in caring for people.
• Applicants need a current driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, police check and up-to-date immunisation.

Responsibilities

• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and equipment.
• Cleaning and sterilising instruments and following infection control procedures.
• Welcoming patients and helping them feel at ease.
• Maintaining accurate patient records.
• Supporting patients with oral hygiene and aftercare instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Helping with appointment bookings and patient enquiries when needed.

About the role

You’ll play an important part in keeping our clinic running smoothly and creating a positive experience for patients. Your responsibilities will include:
