Job summary

Next Smile Melbourne in Hawthorn, VIC is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support a surgical and implant clinic with some general dental and cosmetic care. You’ll work with an experienced team of dentists and OHTs, gaining hands-on exposure to implants, prosthetics, and advanced procedures.

We offer a 7:45am–5:45pm schedule with a 4-day week option. Open to part-time (min 3 days) or full-time applicants; competitive pay based on experience; onsite parking; and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting (or equivalent, preferred not essential).
• At least 2 years’ experience in an Australian dental practice.
• Experience with implant surgery, All-on-4 surgery/restorative highly regarded.
• Calm, confident communication and strong chairside manner.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting in a high-end clinical environment.
• Support Implant & All-on-4 surgeries, including surgical and GA cases.
• Prepare treatment rooms and theatres for a wide range of procedures.
• Instrument sterilisation and infection control; dedicated sterilisation coordinator rostered.
• Keep surgeries stocked, organised, and flowing smoothly.
• Work closely with surgeons, labs, and treatment coordinators to deliver seamless patient care.

What Your Days Will Look Like

• Chairside assisting, high‑end clinical environment
