DEMEX is seeking capable Demolition Operators for permanent full-time roles across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. If you know your way around an excavator and enjoy challenging projects, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating demolition plant.
• Experience operating excavators with demolition attachments.
• Strong understanding of demolition sequencing and site safety.
• Able to follow demolition plans, SWMS and site instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate demolition plant including excavators and demolition attachments.
• Use attachments such as shears, grabs, pulverisers and hammers.
• Carry out structural, industrial and heavy demolition works.
• Follow engineered demolition methodologies, SWMS and site controls.
• Work safely within exclusion zones and around other plant/personnel.
• Collaborate with supervisors, spotters and ground crews.
• Complete daily pre-starts and maintain plant in safe condition.
• Assist with general demolition activities when required.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Operating demolition plant including excavators and demolition attachments

• Using attachments such as shears, grabs, pulverisers and hammers

• Carrying out structural, industrial and heavy demolition works

• Following engineered demolition methodologies, SWMS and site controls

• Working safely within exclusion zones and around other plant and personnel

• Working closely with supervisors, spotters and ground crews

• Completing daily pre-starts and ensuring plant is maintained in a safe operating condition

• Assisting with general demolition activities when required

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• Proven experience operating demolition plant, particularly in heavy industrial or large-scale demolition environments

• Experience operating excavators with demolition attachments

• A strong understanding of demolition sequencing, exclusion zones and site safety

• Ability to follow demolition plans, SWMS and site instructions

• White Card – essential

• Relevant plant tickets and VOCs – essential

• Strong safety mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew

• Willingness to work FIFO/DIDO as required (not on a permanent basis)

• Based in or able to travel from the Gold Coast / Brisbane area

• Working at Heights, EWP or additional high-risk licences will be highly regarded
