Job summary

Andaz Gold Coast is seeking curious and passionate culinary professionals to join the opening team in Queensland, Australia. Demi Chef positions are available across our restaurant, bar and events experiences, with an emphasis on quality, collaboration and hospitality.

Join a hotel creation shaped by coast energy and a fresh approach to dining, where you will work with an experienced leadership team to deliver memorable guest experiences from day one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services.
• Collaborative and respectful approach.
• Flexible to work rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Passion for food, produce and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and presenting dishes consistently and to a high standard.
• Supporting daily mise en place and kitchen operations.
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Supporting stock control, ordering and waste reduction.
• Collaborating with culinary and food and beverage colleagues.
• Contributing ideas, energy and a genuine sense of hospitality.
• Helping create a positive, respectful and inclusive kitchen culture.
