Job summary

EVT Group's Rydges Resort Hunter Valley in Lovedale, NSW, is seeking a Demi Chef to join our busy kitchen teams across Gather, Lovedale Brewbar and Conferencing. You will assist the Chef de Partie, cook high-quality dishes, maintain safety and quality, and help train junior staff.

The role requires strong cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work a flexible roster across seven days. You will contribute to delivering memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced resort

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent required.
• Several years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Able to work a flexible roster including late nights & public holidays.
• Own transport and legal right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and attend to guests' needs and desires immediately.
• Liaise with the Chef de Partie to set daily priorities.
• Work in the kitchen as directed on a daily basis.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times.
• Minimise wastage and uphold food safety standards.
• Support training and development of junior staff.
• Carry out cooking duties across multiple kitchen sections as required.
• Follow established SOPs and hotel health and safety guidelines.
