Minor Hotels is seeking a skilled Demi Chef for AVANI Cypress Lakes Resort and AVANI WELL in NSW. This full-time kitchen role supports food preparation, cooking and presentation to deliver high-quality dining experiences for guests.

You'll prepare dishes, assist with plating, maintain cleanliness, and work with the team to ensure efficient service. Australian cookery qualifications (ideally Cert III) and a passion for cooking are required, with weekend shifts possible.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
• Relevant Australian cookery qualifications, ideally Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation standards.
• Understanding of HACCP, OH&S, and kitchen hygiene requirements.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for cooking.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Assist in the development and plating of high-quality meals.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety, hygiene, and Workplace Health and Safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
• Support and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
• Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen efficiency improvements.
