Job summary

Accor Sydney Olympic Park is seeking a Demi Chef to join the Pullman Sydney Olympic Park kitchen team. You will work with Executive, Head and Sous Chefs to deliver exceptional dining across restaurant, events, and hotel operations.

You’ll support daily kitchen operations, maintain high food safety standards, and help lead junior team members while ensuring sections run efficiently during breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, and functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality.
• Creative culinary mind with awareness of local and international trends.
• Ability to collaborate with suppliers to source quality products.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations across breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions and buffet service.
• Assist with mise en place, stock rotation and minimising wastage.
• Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in line with brand standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
• Support and guide junior team members, leading by example.

Job Description

Join Bacar, the award‑winning contemporary restaurant at Pullman Sydney Olympic Park, and become part of Accor’s world‑class kitchen team.

Working alongside our talented Executive, Head and Sous Chefs, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences across our restaurant, events and hotel operations.

As a Demi Chef, you will support the daily operations of the kitchen, contributing to high‑quality food preparation and service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions and buffet service. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and presentation standards while ensuring your section runs efficiently and productively

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist with mise en place, stock rotation and minimising wastage
• Prepare, cook and present high‑quality dishes in line with brand standards
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
• Support and guide junior team members, leading by example

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel or high‑volume restaurant environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Creative culinary mind, up to date on local and international food trends
• Ability to work closely with suppliers to source the best quality product
• Flexibility to work a rotating roaster, including weekends, nights, public holidays and event days
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards
