Job summary

Europcar Australia is seeking a self-motivated Demand Forecast & Capacity Analyst to join the Revenue Capacity Management team at our Tullamarine head office. You will forecast demand by location, vehicle category, and booking channel to optimise fleet utilisation and revenue.

Reporting to the Head of Revenue and Capacity, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to support commercial decision-making and identify opportunities to improve performance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience in data analytics, revenue management, forecasting, or business intelligence.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Experience with data visualisation tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and refine short and medium term demand forecasts by location, vehicle category, and booking channel.
• Monitor daily pickup and booking curves to identify deviations from historical trends.
• Create ad-hoc reports to investigate market anomalies and revenue impact of fleet movements.
• Conduct pre- and post-check out audits to identify revenue opportunities.
• Collaborate with fleet and capacity teams to align vehicle supply with demand.
• Advise on optimal fleet distribution between airport and city branches using predictive reports.
• Identify low-demand periods and recommend promotions to stimulate demand.

Europcar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Demand Forecast & Capacity Analyst to join our Revenue Capacity Management (RCM) team on a full time basis at our head office in Tullamarine, Victoria. Reporting to the Head of Revenue and Capacity, this role is responsible for tracking, analysing and forecasting customer demand across rental locations, vehicle categories and customer segments, using data-driven insights to optimise fleet utilisation, maximise revenue performance, and support commercial decision‑making in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing, maintaining, and refining short and medium term demand forecasts by location, vehicle category, and booking channel
• Monitoring daily pickup and booking curves to identify deviations from historical trends, seasonal patterns, or forecast targets
• Conducting rapid, ad-hoc report building to investigate sudden market anomalies, localised demand drops, or the revenue impact of tactical fleet movements
• Conducting pre and post-check out audits to identify and evaluate revenue opportunities
• Working alongside fleet and capacity teams to align vehicle supply with anticipated demand, highlighting potential shortages or over‑supply situations at specific branches
• Partnering with Capacity and Fleet Operations using predictive reports to advise on optimal fleet distribution across airport vs. city and suburban branches based on historical performance and targets
• Identifying low-demand periods or underperforming vehicle classes and recommending tactical promotions or marketing interventions to stimulate demand

Qualifications

• Experience in the car rental or travel industry highly advantageous
• 2‑4 years experience in data analytics, revenue management, forecasting, or business intelligence
• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. SAP Business Objects, Power BI or Qlik Sense)
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail
• Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work within tight deadlines
• Ability to be assertive, proactive and innovative with all tasks
