Job summary

Australia Post in Rockingham Delivery Centre is seeking a Delivery Manager to lead day-to-day operations, inspire a diverse team of Postal Delivery Officers, and foster a safe, customer-first culture. You will work with frontline leaders, employees, unions and stakeholders to build capability, drive change and deliver reliable, high-quality service across every shift.

This permanent full-time role offers opportunities to develop people, improve efficiency, and contribute to Australia’s logistics

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, multi-site or multi-shift operations.
• Track record of leading large frontline workforces in industrial or unionised environments.
• Exposure to Lean, Operational Excellence or Change Management methodologies.
• History of large-scale operational transformation and sustained performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily delivery, processing and support activities to achieve service, safety and performance objectives.
• Inspire a high-performing team across a multi-shift operational environment.
• Monitor operational performance, identify trends and turn insights into practical improvements.
• Manage facility costs, contractor performance and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Strengthen safety culture, compliance and personal accountability across the facility.
• Build productive relationships with employees, contractors, unions and business partners.
• Lead operational change through clear communication, consultation and strong team engagement.
• Keep the customer at the centre of decisions and identify opportunities to improve service outcomes
• Support business transformation and change initiatives aligned to Australia Post's strategic direction.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, learning and continuous improvement across your team

About the opportunity

As the Delivery Manager at Rockingham Delivery Centre, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of this busy delivery facility, with a large and diverse team of Postal Delivery Officers. A key focus of the role is creating an environment where people feel supported, safe, engaged and empowered to perform at their best. Working closely with frontline leaders, employees, unions and key stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in building capability, fostering strong workplace relationships and leading your team through periods of change and transformation.

You're a genuine people leader who thrives on helping others succeed. You know how to bring people together, build trust and create an environment where individuals and teams can perform at their best. You have experience navigating complex people situations, leading through change and balancing the needs of employees, customers and the business.

You bring a calm, pragmatic and approachable leadership style, with the ability to influence at all levels and foster strong relationships across a diverse workforce.

You’ll bring:

• Solid experience leading complex, multi-site or multi-shift operations.
• Demonstrated success leading large frontline workforces in industrial or unionised environments.
• Previous exposure to Lean, Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement or Change Management methodologies
• A track record of delivering large-scale operational transformation and sustained performance improvement.
