Being in our warehouses means keeping active, working with a crew that’s got your back, and knowing the work you do really matters. It’s essential work with plenty of variety which means no two days are ever quite the same. We take safety seriously and look out for your wellbeing because you should be going home the same way you came to work.

About the opportunity

Australia Post is operating at the forefront of modern logistics, using next‑generation automation, integrated systems and real‑time scanning to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes and end‑to‑end visibility for customers. This advanced environment enables stronger performance, faster decision‑making and a competitive edge as customer expectations continue to evolve.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of shift‑level results, providing clear direction and operational leadership to ensure processing targets are met safely, efficiently and on plan. You’ll translate production plans into action, drive disciplined handovers, and maintain momentum across the entire operation. With a strong focus on performance and accountability, you’ll lead continuous improvement initiatives, lift capability through coaching, and reinforce safe, inclusive ways of working. This is a role for a leader who sets high standards, drives outcomes through people, and takes pride in delivering results in a fast‑paced, technology‑enabled operation.

About you

  • You bring strong leadership and team‑building experience, creating clarity, accountability and momentum on the floor.
  • You coach and develop others, using feedback and performance conversations to lift capability and results.
  • You are customer‑obsessed, making decisions that protect service, experience and trust at every stage of the operation.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, adapting your approach across teams and stakeholders to drive alignment and sound judgement.
  • You think digital and data‑led, using insights, systems and performance metrics to guide decisions and improve outcomes.
  • You plan, prioritise and schedule effectively, maintaining control through periods of change and operational pressure.
  • You have experience leading large, diverse teams in logistics, production or operational environments.
  • You actively support safe ways of working and have experience embedding safety culture improvements.

What else is in it for you?

  • Work with a diverse, supportive team where you have opportunity to connect over both work and team social events
  • Working hours that gives you flexibility to make space for what’s important to you either before or after work
  • Your safety and wellbeing is prioritised above everything else, so you go home the same way you came to work
  • Opportunities for training, growth and development with pathways in facilities or other areas of the business
  • Discounts and offers on lots of your favourite brands via Post Perks for more cash in your pocket, plus access to other health and wellbeing resources
