About the Company

This organisation is a leading Australian financial institution undertaking a major data centre and infrastructure rationalisation program. Operating within a highly regulated, large scale enterprise environment, the technology function is focused on improving resilience, simplifying estate complexity, and driving disciplined, well governed transformation across platforms and engineering domains.

You will join a delivery ecosystem of significant scale, working across hundreds of squads and multiple strategic vendors to enable foundational infrastructure change.

About the Role

As Senior Delivery Lead, you will take end to end accountability for delivery across key workstreams supporting a large scale data centre footprint reduction of approximately 70%. This program includes decommissioning activity across the estate, relocation or removal of approximately 1,500 devices, and assessment of around 4,000 hosted applications to determine impact, migration sequencing, or retirement planning. The role requires close coordination across internal engineering teams and strategic vendors to ensure discovery activity translates into a clear, executable consolidation and migration plan.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading delivery across infrastructure and business partner domains, including critical payment and network aligned platforms
• Maintaining a clear, consolidated view of impacted equipment and defining what is moving, retiring, replacing, and dependent
• Translating large scale discovery outputs into a sequenced, risk managed migration and decommissioning roadmap
• Coordinating internal technology teams and external vendors to ensure alignment on scope, sequencing, and delivery risk
• Managing dependencies across a complex delivery model involving approximately 900 squads, with the majority engaged in discovery

About You

You are a senior infrastructure delivery leader with a strong technical foundation and a proven track record in complex, fast moving enterprise environments.

• Deep infrastructure delivery experience, ideally across data centre, hosting, or large scale environment change programs
• Demonstrated leadership delivering within fluid, shifting priorities while maintaining clarity and forward momentum
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to negotiate scope, influence direction, and provide confident leadership across business and technology groups
• Experience coordinating internal teams and major vendors within large scale delivery models
• The ability to move between strategic planning and hands on execution, turning ambiguity into structured, sequenced delivery plans
• Prior banking experience
