Job summary

Nippon Food Supplies in Sydney is seeking a Delivery Driver to support our Sydney branch. This role suits reliable individuals who can manage routes, load and unload goods, and ensure timely deliveries while upholding safety standards.

The position requires a NSW full driver's license (car/van), the ability to lift up to 25kg, and a willingness to learn and grow within a friendly team. Weekend work and occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW full driver's license (Car type: Van).
• Ability to lift and move goods up to 25kg.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required.
• Experience in a delivery role is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Determining the destinations of products and most appropriate delivery routes.
• Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading.
• Assisting with loading to ensure products are arranged for ease of delivery and safely secured to avoid damage.
• Verifying loading documents.
• Performing unloading operations, including hand-delivering items directly to recipients or leaving packages at designated locations (doorstep delivery).
• Obtaining confirmation of deliveries upon completion.
• Reporting vehicle maintenance needs.
• May receive payments for deliveries and arrange accounts.

About Us:

Nippon Food Supplies, a leading importer and wholesaler of Japanese food products, is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our Sydney branch. We welcome applicants who are eager to learn and grow in this role. Please note: Working Holiday Visa holders are not eligible. We do not offer sponsorship.

[Working Hours]

Days Off: Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and Public Holidays.

Shift Window: Shifts are scheduled between 8:30AM and 4:36PM on weekdays.

* Occasional overtime may be required to complete daily tasks.

[Key Responsibilities]

This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, motivated, and eager to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment. For the right candidate, there is strong potential to progress into supervisory or management responsibilities as the business continues to expand.
