Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a Deli Assistant Manager to support the Deli Department’s day-to-day operations at Angle Vale, SA. The role reports to the Deli Manager and involves leading a team, ensuring product availability, and delivering excellent customer service.

The position is permanent, part-time (25 hours per week) with shift patterns Mon-Fri 7am-6pm and alternate weekend rosters. On-site training and staff discounts are available.

• Food handling experience or fresh food retail knowledge.
• Exposure to leading a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the Deli department.
• Ensure full product availability and high level of service to customers.
• Lead and coach the team; assist with rosters and inventory management.
• Support Department Manager with merchandising and rotation of shifts.
• Be flexible for staff leave and nearby store coverage.
