Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Systems Administrator for the P-8A Poseidon program at RAAF Base Edinburgh. This permanent, shift-work role involves managing and maintaining a diverse IT/OT environment to keep the military mission ready.

You will install, configure, and support servers, networks and security controls while ensuring robust backup and disaster recovery. Successful candidates demonstrate strong OS knowledge, networking familiarity, problem-solving, and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with CISCO, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP networking concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of cyber security practices.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems.
• Ability to obtain NV2 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain servers, networks and IT/OT infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues for operational readiness.
• Carry out patching and system hardening.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
• Monitor backup and disaster recovery protocols.
• Document and track system configuration.
